In case you weren’t aware, football’s kind of a big deal. The Superbowl entering its fifth decade of existence? Even bigger. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Super Bowl, NFL wanted an interactive experience that would let fans show their support for their favorite teams in custom and shareable ways – enter our 2015 Stadium Takeover experience, tailored for youth, and being promoted through a number of NFL online and social channels.
In Stadium Takeover, fans are invited to create their own online fan avatar – choosing from any team colors, and an associated collection of shirts, accessories, right up to the proper foam finger, to show their pride. Not only is the resultant avatar downloadable to be used in anything from profile pictures to not-so-friendly rivalry texting, the site captures fan participation data, and presents a leaderboard on which team’s supporters are making the most waves through the app. (Currently, yep, it’s the Dallas Cowboys)
It’s a fun, simple, customizable and fast experience to bring the sportsmanship of the Super Bowl online, into social, and ignite fun rivalries between friends. Check it out here!
